Alicia is a very hard working nurse who always finds an opportunity for improvement. She is helpful not only to patients, but her colleagues as well. She has a strong sense of initiative. If she was assigned in the nurse clinic and not that busy she always helped the other clinic nurses and the triage nurse in order to have smooth flow of the clinic and decrease the patient waiting time. From my own experience, during my busy clinic in the surgery, she booked one of my oncology patients for radiotherapy in King Abdulaziz University Hospital to lessen my workload as I was on the opposite corridor.
On another occasion her patient was for injection and the medication was prescribed almost at the end of duty hours. She went to the pharmacy herself to follow up and the medication was made available at 5pm. Everybody left to catch the bus, yet she was left behind because she waited for the medication to be available and administered it to the patient as I was her witness. The patient and family appreciated her very much for spending her extra time on them.
