Alicia Wallen, RN

Alicia (or “Waldo”) has been an employee of Lutheran Hospital in many aspects over the last several years. She now works and thrives as a critical care transport for Lutheran Air based in Wabash, IN. Alicia is known for her attention to detail, after-flight debriefings, knowledge, and professionalism, as well as her desire to research any new topics her team encounters. “We could talk all day about what an amazing, professional nurse Mrs. Wallen is, but what sets her apart is the compassion she exhibits for her patients,” says one of her peers. Alicia is reassuring and calming for both her patients and the people who work around her. She comforts and reassures her patients while she expertly addresses their care needs. Alicia is referred to as an “in case of emergency, break glass” type of nurse by her team members and truly embodies everything it is to be a wonderful nurse.
