Alida Hammond is an extraordinarily caring nurse. Recently my brother-in-law was under her care until he passed away. Alida was so sensitive to the needs of my brother-in-law K and his family. After K was taken off the respirator, he asked to sit up. Alida gently made it possible for him to have his wish to share his "better time" with his family in a chair surrounded by his son, wife, and grandkids. It was a great day the family will cherish. As his near-death time came she took the grandkids' Father's Day cards they had brought and used film to leave K's handprints on their cards for them to keep. This was a special keepsake they now cherish. K died on his son's birthday, but he left in a peaceful sleep and Alida was a caregiver we as a family will always have fond memories of.
