Alina had a patient whose significant other was blind and needed help getting to and from the unit. Despite being incredibly busy with her team of patients, Alina took the time and hand-escorted the patient’s spouse by walking him downstairs and helping to guide him to his ride, who was waiting for him outside. It would have been easier for Alina to simply put in for a Transport escort, but she didn’t want the family member to have to wait. She took that extra step of kindness and caring. The patient and spouse were so grateful to Alina for going the extra mile! Thank you, Alina, for your kindness and caring!
