Alisa Arakelian, BSN, RN

We had a patient who had germaphobia and required more time for her care and tasks to be completed. The EP Lab we were in is a heavy and fast turnover room. Alisa took this patient in stride, never rushing her and making sure her needs and worries were addressed promptly. For something as simple as walking from the wheelchair to the procedure table, the patient required extra care. Alisa took it upon herself to make a walkway out of sterile towels so the patient could rest assured that her socked feet were walking on clean ground. The patient had several questions about the monitors that were being placed on her. Alisa took a pause and explained each of the numerous stickers and monitors to the patient, ensuring that she understood their necessity and importance prior to placing them. Alisa truly went above and beyond caring for this individual today, but this is something she does on a regular basis. She makes everyone around her, including other staff, comfortable. She is a pleasure and a delight to work with, brightening each room she steps into. All of Alisa's patients, as well as the MGH EP Lab, are lucky to have her on their team.
