Alisa is a fabulous nurse. I was happy to have her training on me. She has an empathetic heart and truly cares about her patients. One such instance had to do with my hair. I had lots of caked blood on the back of my scalp. She helped put my hair up in a bun that not only helped keep it out of my face but also helped my self-esteem. Having surgery is already rough on one's mental health, but having a nurse go above and beyond to assist in simple non-medical things is fantastic. She made sure my meds were on time and advocated other things, such as additional meds I needed, such as Benadryl and MiraLAX. MiraLAX works best for me, and she listened to me. Patient care has truly improved.
