A'Lisa is absolutely phenomenal!!! When finally waking up from the anesthetic the world was great, no pain, so I was ready to stand and walk a bit. THEN, I sat down and the world exploded with nerve pain down my thigh. My screams were unfiltered and unending. A'Lisa asked what I thought it was and I had no clue, so she gracefully went and closed the door and helped me breathe through the pain. When I could speak again, the only thing I could imagine with that much pain was someone taking a blow torch to my entire thigh. She understood that I put serious self-restriction on myself for fear of becoming addicted to pain meds. She helped me with breathing techniques, Tylenol, Benadryl, and screaming. She never panicked or got frustrated just gave me all of her care and compassion.

A'Lisa served as the night nurse during my recent recovery from spinal fusion surgery. As luck would have it, she was my nurse for all 3 nights. During my stay, she became aware of my sensitivities to medications and recognized in my behavior and slurred speech, that recovery wasn't going as planned for me. I credit her persistence and advocacy for getting me the correct medications and dosages. As a result, I got on the right path to discharge and recuperation at home. I am very grateful for her care.
