We came to the VA to have my fiancé checked out as he is on a bad cocaine binge. Alisa was his nurse to check him out and assess him. She began to see his issues and quickly identified them. She really melted his hard barrier just by being an amazing person. She found a way to connect with him emotionally – as I began to help clarify more of the details that were very little. With my input, she was able to get him to talk more and really feel safe and at home with a stranger.
