Alisha shows the dedication and personal attributes of being there for the patient's comfort and doing it in a manner that was exemplary to what you want to see in a fabulous nurse. From the time my friend got into the room she was on top of making sure he was comfortable and got everything he needed concerning pain meds, food and drink. She was communicating with other hospital staff about getting things done on his behalf. She had a wonderful sense of humor plus a sweet glowing attitude of loving her job and helping others. She treated me with the utmost respect as well and made sure I had everything I needed or wanted to be comfortable. She explained everything she was doing along with checking back in a timely manner to make sure all was okay or if we had any questions.

I would like to compliment Alisha for her kindness and sweet sense of humor. But most of all I appreciate her efficiency and knowledge during my hospitalization. I was admitted for Pericarditis and unfortunately had a reaction to the medication resulting in a severe rash. Her quick response to this resulted in a quick change in orders and my severe itching resolving as fast as possible. I also had an episode of A-Fib which she picked up on and notified the MD with rapid intervention and resolution. After multiple difficult sticks for blood draws she was quick to recommend to lab tech to request the lab to be added on, saving me another stick. All of this was just in her one shift which showed me how much she cared about me as a person and not just getting the task done.
She also quickly stopped and gave me a dry shampoo because I couldn't shower and the tech was busy and couldn't come for awhile. Alisha showed me personal kindness while providing excellent medical care, making this frightening experience a pleasant memory. Many people can be intelligent. Many people can be friendly and kind. Alisha is the rare jewel that is both.
