Alisha Lee, RN
I would like to nominate my coworker for a DAISY award because I truly believe her work and dedication do not go unnoticed. She is an incredible nurse who genuinely cares about every single one of her patients. Every shift, she constantly looks for ways to improve her patients’ health, comfort, and overall care. She goes above and beyond without hesitation, even sacrificing her meals and breaks to make sure her patients are cared for. No matter how busy the unit gets, she continues to give her all.
She has one of the biggest hearts I have ever seen and will fight until the very end for her patients. She advocates for them, listens to them, and treats them with compassion and respect. You can truly tell nursing is not just a job for her – it is something she is passionate about.
Not only is she an amazing nurse to her patients, but she is also an incredible coworker. Working beside her as her nursing assistant has made me feel more confident, and she inspires me every shift. She consistently checks in on me mentally, asking if I am okay or if I need help multiple times throughout our shifts. She never makes anyone feel alone or unsupported.
She is always willing to step in and help whenever needed, no matter how overwhelmed she already is. She helps keep 9 Central moving and creates a positive environment for both patients and staff. Her kindness, teamwork, strength, and dedication deserve recognition. I truly cannot think of anyone more deserving of a DAISY nomination.
