Alisha Peters 2024, RN

I am nominating Alisha Peters for her dedication and commitment to improve and excel the ability for NLH to provide in-patient dialysis for the community. She has shared her knowledge with her co-workers and supported them through their learning process. Whether the patient has a catheter or a fistula she has advanced NLH staff to the point where the patient does not have to be transferred to another facility outside of the community. She is currently seeking certification in dialysis on her own time and money. I believe she exemplified the quality we all look for in an employee. While performing dialysis with her patients she exudes a calming, supportive, educational and professional encounter. For some patients this is something they are comfortable at their dialysis center, but it is all new in a hospital setting. To others it's a brand new experience and can be very scary to the patient and the family. Alisha helps transition to the outpatient setting that will be new to them.
