Alisiya McClinton, RN, BSN
My mom underwent a spinal fusion revision and spent five nights on the 5th floor. While the entire nursing staff was exceptional, Alisiya stood out in a truly meaningful way and made a difficult hospital stay much more comfortable for both my mom and our family.
From the moment she cared for my mom, Alisiya consistently showed kindness, compassion, and genuine concern for her well-being. She always made sure my mom had everything she needed and often thought outside the box to find additional ways to improve her comfort and recovery. Her care went beyond simply completing tasks. She treated my mom as a person and made her feel seen, supported, and encouraged.
What impressed us most was that Alisiya's kindness extended beyond her assigned responsibilities. Even when she was not my mom's scheduled nurse, she stepped in to help when needed. One day, she assisted my mom to the bathroom and then took the extra time to encourage and support her in walking down the hallway.
This may seem like a small gesture, but during recovery from major spine surgery, that encouragement and support made a tremendous difference in my mom's confidence and progress.
Alisiya was always a warm, welcoming, and reassuring presence on the unit. Seeing her brought comfort during a challenging time, and her dedication exemplifies the very best of nursing.
