...Our 6 year old son had a crush injury to his left hand. This was a very scary and traumatic time for him. We arrived to the ER about 7:00 pm; the nurses and doctor were so good with him and re-assuring to us that he would be ok. Alison stayed with our 6 year old son for most of our time in the ER, she was such a calming angel to us all.
Once he calmed down and slowed his breathing and could talk to us, Alison was such a great friend to him. She told him that she was the oldest of her siblings. Alison knew how to communicate with him, and did everything in her power to keep his mind off his throbbing hand. Alison was absolutely wonderful!! He still thinks of her often. He remembers the stories and the silly things they talked about still today.
