It was a lovely Friday evening and Alison was enjoying a much-needed date night with her husband. Sitting outside at a patio table, Alison thought she heard something out of the ordinary so started paying more attention when she distinctly heard a cry for help. She sprinted across the parking lot to find an unresponsive 17-year-old girl lying on the ground. Alison's training, skills, and expertise kicked in, she made sure 911 was activated and started CPR while trying to gather information on this girl. The girl started breathing on her own at one point but it did not last long and Alison had to resume CPR. As the ambulance arrived, the girl started breathing on her own and the REMSA crew took over. Not everyone is able to run TO an emergency. It takes a special person to be able to do that. Fortunately for this young girl, Alison is one of those people. We are incredibly fortunate to have Alison as a part of our team and our community. She most definitely saved a life!
