I am 71 years old. Before 5 years ago, I had never been in a hospital except to visit a patient. Now I have been the patient 3 times (2 hips & 1 knee replaced). The Cedars’ medical staff has been great every time. But, on the last occasion, I was assigned, in part, to the care of nurse Alison Fleishman. Ms. Fleishman was amazing as a healthcare provider. She helped me through the initial healing process with all the skill, professionalism, and compassion I could have hoped for. She explained very clearly what I was going through and the medications I had been prescribed. This was very helpful and comforting. I truly appreciated the nurse/patient relationship, Ms. Fleishman established. And, because I was in the hospital for multiple days, I observed that her positive approach to nursing was simply the way she always conducted herself. Cedars Sinai has a very fine nurse in Alison Fleishman.
