Alison has trained the last 6 HHD RNs/CCHT in Iowa and has produced incredibly strong teammates. Alison practices with her whole heart, meeting patients and loved ones with compassion and kindness. There isn’t a barrier that she has identified that she hasn’t overcome. She will boast on occasion that she has “never failed a train” and she is so proud of each patient for different reasons. Alison is loved by her patients, caregivers, and teammates. She has been voted MVP by her home team, and has built special relationships with all who encounter her. Recently, a patient's young daughter asked if Alison could meet her in the lobby. When Alison walked out to meet her, this young girl gave Alison a crayon colored card that wrote “Thank you for taking care of my daddy, I love you!” with a handmade friendship bracelet. This brought Alison to tears as she embraced the daughter of a patient she cares so much about. Alison makes an impact-she will share HHD with anyone willing to listen! She is proud of her program's growth and feels that “Home is for EVERY patient!”. She is caring, strong, brave, and creative and she makes everyone around her more confident because they know they have Alison in their corner! She is also excited to spread her impact and is plugging in with our KC hhd teammates on strategizing for growth, educating leaders, and spreading her passion on why HHD is the “Cadillac” of all therapies! WE are undoubtedly stronger because of HER!
