Alison LaMaina, BSN, RN

Ali was assigned to one of my patients who was having an extremely difficult hospital course. He was s/p chemo, actively infected, and having changes in mental status making him lose trust in his medical team. He required a lot of care and patience in order for tasks to be carried out. Ali put tremendous effort and developed a trustworthy rapport with the patient allowing for the continuation of care. She got done in a few hours what others couldn’t for days. Her positive attitude and work ethic is seen every shift and makes a difference in those she works with - patients; colleagues alike.
