During a recent code blue, Alison did not hesitate to jump in and perform multiple ACLS roles. She took the time to educate newer nurses and guide them on what they could do to be helpful. Alison immediately considered the emotional needs of the team and, in the days following the incident, reached out to team members to provide support and a safe place to discuss feelings related to the code. She went above and beyond to ensure that all team members, even those who did not participate in the code, had time to discuss their feelings and feel supported. I believe these actions made a profound impact on multiple staff members, especially new staff, which they will remember in a positive light throughout their career despite the tragedy.
