Alli was again assigned to my husband on the dayshift. Again we received amazing care, she was compassionate and efficient.
My husband went to the ER with very high blood pressure. A Cardene drip was started and he was admitted to 3 West PCU. Needless to say, we were both anxious and frightened by the blood pressure readings very high and the potential for stroke. It was the first hospitalization for my husband and I am a retired RN. With the holiday week, we were concerned about staffing and the clinical expertise of the caregivers.

We were greeted warmly by our RN, Alli. She was organized, efficient, and excellent. She taught us about the blood pressure meds and the specifics of his plan of care. She was self-assured and calm, and we trusted her immediately. She monitored my husband very closely and she was already at my husband’s bedside calling the doctor when his blood pressure was markedly elevated. This attention to care continued throughout the day. Alli was again assigned to my husband on the dayshift. Again we received amazing care, she was compassionate and efficient. I heard a MET call for one of her rooms and assumed my husband’s care would suffer, but that was not true. Alli still provided excellent, calming, and efficient care.

When she said she would be back at a certain time, she was. Meds were always exactly on time. She had a different assignment but came to visit my husband and even discharged him to help his assigned nurse. We felt confident in her discharge instructions. Honestly, we could not have found a better RN to take care of my husband, and Alli provided tireless care.
