Alissa is truly a leader and professional 24/7. She starts to care for patients prior to their arrival to our unit by checking on blood work, history, trending labs, etc.
Not only is she a true patient advocate, but she also uses holistic approaches/modalities for patients such as aromatherapy, videos, setting the mood in the room, showing a cardiac cath video to ease anxiety, etc. When census is low, she seeks out areas in the hospital where her staff would be useful and appreciated instead of sending them home.
She accommodates patients who have no transportation. I just want to ensure her many efforts do not go unnoticed. She does not make judgments nor does she complain. Everyone leans on her. Thank you.
