Allen Stroschein, RN

I have seen Allen's leadership, compassion, teamwork, and professionalism on an everyday basis. He displays empathy with every patient encounter I have seen him in. As his nurse aide, he is organized and competent, delivering excellent care to each one of our veterans.

He is attentive to all veterans even if they are not assigned to him. He is devoted to their needs, while he also has a leadership role as the Charge Nurse and is able to balance both roles. He has excellent problem-solving ability and faces every issue that may arise on the unit with grace.

He is truly inspiring as he works a full-time job while pursuing his master’s in nursing. He exemplifies everything that a nurse should be. I truly love working with him. He is very encouraging in every way. He always looks at the positive side of things.

He’s full of laughter and joy, creating a pleasant, positive workspace each and every time I work with him. He keeps the peace by approaching every dilemma with a positive outlook. He always offers himself in every situation that is brought his way!

I pray to be a nurse like him someday. He is truly an asset to the VA System and a blessing to our unit.
