Alli Farwell, BSN, RN
Alli is one of the best charge nurses. She is very knowledgeable and despite having to take an entire team, she is always helping staff on the unit. She makes herself available to answer any and all questions, help with tasks and lunch breaks, and check on all of the nurses, keeping the unit running. I always feel comfortable with Alli as Charge because I know that no matter the situation, she will help me find a solution.
She handles complex patients and families with compassion and professionalism. She strongly advocates for the patients on the unit and escalates concerns as appropriate -- for example, they wanted to give us a patient that was having SVT in the ER and Alli escalated concerns regarding patient safety due to the nursing-to-patient ratio at the time was 6:1. Every shift Alli works, she is an inspiration to others and she should be recognized much more often for all her hard work!
