Miss Allie, as my son knows her, is a wonderful example of the spirit of Cook Children's. She has made him feel special, been attentive and attuned to his needs on every level. Always positive and so good at taking care of us parents. Seeing her is always a bright spot in my son's clinic days. He responded to her in a way he had yet to during his treatment.
Allie was the first nurse he hugged and let hold him. She walks him around to say hello. She goes out of her way to come say hi, even when she isn't assigned to him. That extra level of care for us as a family unit makes each visit brighter and reassures us of the plan for treatment. A great communicator, able to explain medical info in terms easy for us to process. We can't say enough but thanks to Miss Allie.

She is one of the most awesome nurses ever. She always makes me smile and always make sure I am good. I was always scared of coming to the doctor before until I met Nurse Allie. She's amazing.
