Allie has gone above and beyond each and every shift she has worked since our family joined the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We were thrown into so much uncertainty after delivering our son 7 weeks early that we had no clue what the NICU was or what our days ahead would look like. We had always envisioned that we'd deliver our son and come home with him. Little did we know, that God had other plans. Along the way, Allie has been our nurse, and every time offered to let us assist with our son’s care, helping with vitals and diaper changes. She also has made sure that we understand what is going on every step of the way and explained things to us so that we understand them. I had some lactation questions and concerns and had asked if she knew of anyone who could help – only to find out that she is a lactation specialist too! She was so helpful in not only my son’s care but my care, as well. She always asked us as parents how we were doing and looked at us as a whole family. Allie is amazing and deserves recognition as she is a miracle worker who has helped keep our son going! We are so grateful for her and her kindness and appreciate her more than we can ever describe.
