I wanted to send this email regarding Sunday and Cath Lab Holding. I want to send these kudos emails to those that truly need to be mentioned. H and I were working on the 8th, it was busy, boarding, short-staffed, and we were the only 2 MICNs the entire shift. We were both running around and I have to tell you it was nice to have such a proactive nurse in the Cath Lab Holding trying to assist us in moving patients. I want to say her name is Allie. She was in constant communication with myself and H. She was calling, notifying us of potential discharges, patients going upstairs, really anything. She would venture over and go over the list of patients with us, she was talking to the primary nurses and even a patient she was not sure of taking, she went in, assessed the patient, and didn't just "read" the chart or numbers, actually went in and assessed and then felt comfortable taking this patient to Cath lab holding. This is the epitome of communication, helpfulness, and what truly needs to be done in these busy times, especially in Cath lab holding. As with my last emails, we did not have this and there were delays in patient transfers/admissions. We, too often, have the opposite which frustrates both patients, families, and staff. I am hoping you forward this to the correct manager as I want to give credit, kudos, and accolades, where it is deserved. She was wonderful and it was nice to not have that level of frustration that is normally there in this area. Anyways, I wanted to share that she made the day much smoother, in that area, then we have had in a long time and I want to make sure she is acknowledged.

My father was in your hospital for 10 days. Your entire staff treated him with dignity, understanding and outstanding care. There was one young lady that stood out above all, Allie Diangelo. She was such an advocate for my dad and her medical knowledge and application and her actions were exemplary. Never did I see her not working hard and tirelessly for her patients. She is a star among stars who brings joy and confidence to all she contacts.
