Allie Dibernardo, RN, BSN, CEN
Allie is one of the most compassionate nurses and a joy to work with. I have witnessed her go above and beyond to help her patients feel comfortable in a stressful environment. On our way out of work one day, she passed by the room of one of her patients and noticed their spouse crouching on the floor, crying terribly from the new terminal diagnosis of their spouse. Without a second thought, Allie was there to lend an ear, a shoulder to cry on, provide a kind and warm smile to help the woman cope with this terrible situation.
On another occasion, Allie came around the unit and made a handmade birthday card and had the staff sign it for a patient who was upset about having to spend their birthday here in the ED. She is a joy to work with, always lending a helping hand and a warm smile.
