When my wife was about 31 weeks pregnant she was sent to the hospital due to lack of fetal movement. When she arrived, the nurses were unable to find a heartbeat. The doctor came and did an ultrasound and confirmed there was no heartbeat. Allison sat with my wife and held her hand until I arrived. Allison continued to provide emotional support during our stay. She was assertive and continually asked what she could get us or if there was anything else she could do. I can't imagine that this was an easy day for her either, yet she demonstrated emotional stability throughout our stay. She listened when we had questions or concerns and demonstrated commitment to her job and our family. She was caring, understanding, and showed my wife, baby, and me the utmost respect. Allison displayed selflessness by staying past her shift that evening to help take pictures of our sweet girl. When she arrived back the next morning, she once again showed compassion and empathy during our darkest hours. As she pushed my wife in a wheelchair to the car to leave we thanked her, but words can't express how grateful and thankful we are to have been in her care. We couldn't have asked for a better nurse.
