May 2018 Honoree
allison baker, RN
LT Baker was pivotal in ensuring a pediatric patient was admitted to the medical surgical ward. The infant required treatment with the bili lights but was already having issues with temperature stabilization. LT Baker's impromptu, "Just Do It" training of the staff on the ward with the incubator allowed the provider to keep this patient close to home; temperature regulated and the right treatment for the diagnosis. LT Baker offered training to the night shift and the following morning dayshift. She also left her personal phone number for the staff to utilize her as a local resource in case an issue arose with the incubator. She deserves a Bravo Zulu!
Thank you, Allison, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
