3 North ran a code that led to an unexpected patient expiration, and the assigned nurse was extremely upset and shaken up as she had never experienced something like this before. Allison came from the ICU to assist in the code, and after the code was completed, she took the time to console the nurse and give her some positive vibes and words of encouragement. It was truly inspiring, and I will forever admire her for that. She has a nurse's heart, and her personality and sense of humor shine through in everything she does. It is evident that she is extremely dedicated, intelligent, and hardworking. She is a truly Extraordinary Nurse and I cannot think of a single person who would be more deserving of a DAISY Award than Allison.
