One day while I was visiting I was experiencing more pain from my C-section, and Allison dimmed the lights and made sure I had a comfortable place to rest.
Allison did everything she could to help us bond with our baby girl D while she was in the NICU. D was on CPAP for the first few days of life and seemed uncomfortable with the tubing and tape on her face. Allison constantly tried new ways to keep D comfortable while still getting the much-needed oxygen and found some creative tape-free ways to secure her oxygen. She never made it feel like a burden to let me hold D, even though it involved moving a lot of cords and tubes, because she understood the importance of bonding as I wanted to eventually breastfeed my baby.
One day while I was visiting I was experiencing more pain from my C-section, and Allison dimmed the lights and made sure I had a comfortable place to rest. When it was time to bring D home, Allison advocated for us to bring her home sooner rather than later which was our strong desire. We just felt so supported by Allison, she took excellent care of our baby and alleviated our worries about leaving our baby in the hospital without us, but she also took excellent care of us as a family.
