September 2023 Honoree
Allison N Curtis, BSN, RN, CCRN
Our great-granddaughter was admitted for an accidental illicit substance. She was alone, terrified, sick, lonely. You can imagine at 22 months old how she felt. She was admitted to PICU with Allie as her nurse. Due to her loving, tender, compassionate care, E clung to her like a lifeline. Allie comforted this terrified child while giving her the medical care she so badly needed. Not only did she care for E, but she also cared for me (81-year-old with custody of E). She and her assistant made sure I got liquids and a place to rest and also constantly asked if there was anything I or E needed. We were so fortunate to have her as our caregiver. We believe you are very lucky to have such a kind, caring, compassionate, professional person on PICU to take care of the children who have to be there. Thank you!
Thank you, Allison N, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
