I am writing this letter regarding my recent experience while a patient in WCH. During my stay, I had the opportunity to meet a young nurse named Allison Mathews. Up until that point, my experience at the hospital had not been a good one. Upon the first meeting, I was in a bad mood because of the treatment I had received the previous 2 days, and unfortunately, I lashed out at this young lady in a manner that I would describe as not my proudest moment, but being the professional that she is, she took it in stride. So, I would like to formally and sincerely express my gratitude to Miss Mathews. Over the two and a half days that we were together, she ensured that my needs were being met with the way she performed her duties in a timely manner almost to the minute -- all without neglecting other patients. She took time to talk with me thus keeping me from feeling isolated and treated me as a person rather than just a patient. Allison's attention to detail and her perceptiveness make her an asset to your organization. I must say that I was impressed with her maturity level for someone so relatively young. Once again please Take time to express my sincere Gratitude and Thanks to Miss Mathews for a Job well done.
