Ally was always respectful in making my mom's healthcare wishes heard and understood.
When my mom was sick and at her most vulnerable, Ally provided the compassion my mom needed to feel like she would be okay. Ally made my mom feel heard when she expressed her pain or discomfort, and she advocated for my mom when her condition began to decline. She never hesitated to take extra time to listen and provide support and education. She spoke honestly and with kindness. She even visited her when she was working but was not assigned as her nurse, just to make sure she was okay and felt cared for.

Ally was in constant communication with the providers and my mom, ensuring each voice was heard and understood. She would review any medical information that needed clarification and provide results and updates as soon as they became available. She was respectful with every interaction and respected my mom's choices and concerns.

Ally provided the quality of care that I would hope to receive and hope to provide, as a fellow nurse. She was knowledgeable in everything she spoke about and skilled in everything she did. Ally was kind in every conversation and made not only my mom feel comfortable and safe in her care but made me feel the same knowing Ally was taking care of my loved one. I was relieved to see Ally every time I visited my mom, knowing my mom was in the best hands. Ally was always respectful in making my mom's healthcare wishes heard and understood. She was always positive and smiling and brought sunshine into a room with no windows. She spent extra time coordinating conversations and plans of care between providers and prioritized balancing medical necessity and personal need. She was diligent in making sure every need was met, and questions were answered. She spoke without judgment and displayed warmth in her words and actions. She expressed thankfulness to her coworkers and providers when they offered a helping hand or additional education. She understood that the opinions of the family mattered to my mom, and made sure decisions were made together for the best outcome.

Ally is the best example of wonderful nursing that I know other nurses, including myself, aspire to be. She is compassionate, meticulous, informed, professional, skillful, devoted, and kind. She made my mom feel safe and cared for. My mom said on more than one occasion, "she's the best", and I agreed every time. She is someone I would trust to take care of my family and myself.
