The first morning we visited with my father in the ICU, we were greeted by Allison. She had a big smile on her face and was so uplifting. Even though we received not-so-good news, she encouraged us and even cried with us. As each day passed, Allison was calling to check on us daily. The day before his passing, Allison wasn't assigned as my father's nurse, but she took the time to come by and speak to us. All of his nurses through his time there were wonderful, but Allison's compassion with him and us was appreciated more than I can truly say. She allowed him his dignity and treated him with the utmost respect. If he were alive today, he would have loved her!
