Ally had two patients in ICU, was charge nurse, and was needed on the 4th floor to insert an IV with the ultrasound. She was headed upstairs when a family member came out of a room to ask her a question. Ally took her time and explained the patient’s condition and the treatment plan. She explained things so they fully understood. She spent over 30 minutes with them. She made the family feel comfortable with humor and never rushed them so she could start her work. I commented to her that she did a really nice job explaining things, and she stated she was glad to hear that because she didn’t feel like she had.

Ally is a wonderful patient/family advocate with a great bedside manner. There are many days when she is on every floor multiple times while having her own patient load. She is very knowledgeable and always willing to help/teach her nurses. She is a huge asset to the hospital team.
