Allyson Rogalski, BSN RN

Allyson Rogalski is a wonderful nurse and strong patient advocate who consistently goes above and beyond for our patients. She recently found a way to help emotionally support a patient grappling with the physical and psychological impact of a sudden cardiac event. Allyson empathetically listened to this patient open up about his emotional struggles since his cardiac event. Allyson offered the patient resources for counseling, but when he declined, she continued to think of other ways to support the patient. She asked if he would ever be interested in talking to a person who went through a similar medical event. The patient was open to this idea, and Allyson took the initiative and time to organize a phone conversation with two cardiac rehab patients within the confines of HIPPA. Afterward, both patients separately confided in Allyson how impactful and helpful the conversation had been for them. Allyson has since reached out to me about her interest in developing a support group-type program for our cardiac rehab patients. This is a busy, highly productive nurse asking for more to be put on her plate! We are very fortunate to have an individual like Allyson working for our organization!
