Translation:
We arrived on February 21 with our father, not knowing what had happened. We contacted Dr. Virginia Gonzalez so she could notify the emergency department that we were coming in with him. Everything pointed to a stroke, so we arrived very frightened, and they were already expecting us. It was indeed an ischemic stroke, and we made it in time.
We received excellent care in the emergency department. Afterward, he was transferred to the intensive care unit, where we had the opportunity to meet Alma. From her, we always received words of encouragement, faith, and hope. She took wonderful care of our father, keeping him clean and presentable, and even ensuring he wore a pleasant scent. She was always patient and kind with him, treating him with such compassion and humanity as if he were part of her own family.
She always had a smile, was attentive and willing to help, and remained fully dedicated to his care. She explained procedures to us, shared stories of successful outcomes, and consistently offered us warm, reassuring words. She treated our father as though he were able to express himself, showing him dignity and respect at all times.
