Ms. Holley sets the tone for not only what a nurse should be, but how to be a good person in general. She is an amazing leader. Her staff not only thrive under her leadership but trust her as a leader. Since the commencement of this pandemic, Ms. Holley has been in the medical center just about every day, ensuring the staff have what they need to provide the care to our veterans.

She communicates with the team any changes or challenges coming from the top down and is available late in the evenings to be a resource when needed. She encourages her staff to soar to new heights constantly by sharing education and employment opportunities, and takes extra time to show her appreciation to her team with small tokens of thanks (breakfast, random kudos throughout the day, shoutouts in meetings).

She makes herself available to veterans by addressing their questions in real-time and collaborating across disciplines to get their needs met. She always lends her time and patience to ensure that veterans receiving care in her clinic align with privacy and dignity standards and constantly assesses for opportunities to enhance care delivery and the overall patient experience. She is a gem to work with and a model of nursing excellence in action.
