Just dropping a communication on how WONDERFUL your staff is. I am charge in RME today. I happened to be making rounds at the router desk, when a woman walked in, in a panic holding her young daughter in her arms. She told Alma Thompson and me that her daughter was choking. Before she brought her in, Alma immediately noticed that the child was acting differently, answering a little slower. Alma carried the child to the Pediatric Emergency Department while the clerk immediately called Peds ED to inform them that Alma was on her way. Soon after entry to Peds ED, I heard that the patient seized. WOW, what a difference the two minutes would have made to sign the child into intake. Thank you to this wonderful staff member who is at the top of her Nursing Care!
