September 2020 Honoree
almina anudin cacho, RN
The first day before starting the treatment, I was very worried and nervous. It was my first time with chemotherapy and I felt that it was going to be extremely difficult. When my nurse began to treat me, she told me that everything was going to be fine and that I had to be positive. She transmitted confidence and security to me; always aware that everything is flowing as it should be, wondering if I am comfortable or need something, in a good mood, that is sometimes very important for us as patients that our nurse makes us feel confident, and know that everything will be fine, that we are in good hands. Personally, it makes me feel that everything is under control and the difficult situation will soon end.
Thank you, Almina, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
