When Arlene heard that he wanted to be a nurse she took the time to make him his own Cook Children’s nurse’s badge which he proudly wears.
Our son, a stage four Neuroblastoma patient at Cook Children’s, informed his mother and I before his third round of chemo that when he grows up he wants to be a nurse! We were so excited as it is a direct reflection on how important he sees the team of nurses who care for him during his path at fighting this villain, Neuroblastoma.
When Arlene heard that he wanted to be a nurse she took the time to make him his own Cook Children’s nurse’s badge which he proudly wears daily when he is feeling good out walking or riding his EZ Roller Scooter. What our son has is rare and very bad and any chance he has to be motivated and positive is a Win! Arlene did this for him and in many ways, us. All the nursing staff at Cook Children’s are blessings and for this visit, Arlene was our son’s blessing. Thank you.
