Altiera provided absolutely superb care to her patient, as she always does. This was a particularly challenging patient who only spoke a foreign language, came in with a HR of 140s, febrile, and turned out to have pneumonia and a PE. Then just before going upstairs, he seemed to be complaining of something else.

Some might have ignored it, but Allie got the translator and realized he was complaining of stroke symptoms on top of everything else beginning 10 min prior. We called a code stroke and of course, she did everything by herself as there was no tech for a repeat ECG available.
