While my husband was in the hospital for 4 days with out of control A-fib, Al was his nurse most of the time. He was very conscientious and patient with me and B as we asked questions about procedures and medications. Never did we ever feel rushed or a bother. It was a stressful time for us and even though Al was busy, he always made B and me both feel as if we were his only patient and visitor he was dealing with.
He had a very calming manner while maintaining his efficiency in performing his nursing duties. B and I both feel like he cared about the "entire" patient, not just the medical needs. He remained friendly at all times and never made us feel like he didn't have time for us while maintaining his professionalism at all times.
It is wonderful to know we have nurses like Al working at Sky Lakes. I would also like to mention he had a student with him. Al is definitely a good trainer and example for a nursing student to follow. He was so patient with the nursing student also.
Al also had a great sense of humor that also helps when you are tired, scared and sick. We thank Al for making B's stay at Sky Lakes as easy as possible under the circumstances.
