In her letter, the patient begins that Alycia made her daughter's birth a "beautiful, safe, and forever memorable experience." After two exhausting days, the patient and her husband were exhausted when Alycia arrived in ninja cap, red glasses, and confident smile and said, "Okay, Mama! We are delivering your baby tonight!"
Throughout their 12 hours together, the patient says Alycia demonstrated competence in every aspect of care. "From the most menial of tasks to the more demanding, Alycia approached each part of my care with the same confidence and unwavering dedication."
The patient shared her gratitude for the excellent care she received from the entire Labor & Delivery team but said that Alycia deserved special recognition for her clinical expertise and "extraordinary, compassionate care." In fact, she now thinks of Alycia as "an angel that was brought to us to in our hour of need."
The patient ends by saying that her daughter "is now over two weeks old, we are at home, safe and sound and loving life. We are indebted to Saint Agnes for the care we received and are especially grateful to the extraordinary nurse that made our birth experience so positive."
