Alysa was my nurse during my first bandage change for my burns. I was nervous about it, but Alysa was extremely positive and reassured me that it would go okay, which helped ease my fears. She gave me pep talks during the process, making an anxious situation calm for me. She has stopped into my room numerous times, even when I was not her patient. She made an effort to connect with me on a personal level and always ensured that I was comfortable. She went above and beyond to work with me and contact my doctors when I was experiencing nausea, resulting in the addition of another nausea medication and making it possible for me to take and tolerate pain medications.
