May 2025 Honoree
Alysia Hershberger, RN
I was a patient at Pomerene Hospital for five days. All nurses were very good, but one stood out and went beyond her call of duty. Alysia was very kind and considerate to me. I had to have my toe amputated, and after talking to the doctor, she noticed I wasn't myself because I was always joking and teasing her. I was told I was losing a toe, and I was very quiet and thinking. Alysia came in and asked what was wrong, and I told her. She said, "Do you mind if I pray for you?" I said please do and she did. That deeply touched me, and I know prayer can be helpful. I went into surgery at peace. God Bless Alysia for actions and prayers. Thanks!
Thank you, Alysia, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
