Literally above and beyond is only the tip of the iceberg. I could not figure out how to get enough water in as a kidney transplant patient. Alyssa sat with me bedside and found water-rich foods such as Luigi’s ice and watermelon. She brought me actual ice and I was able to get watermelon. My urine output has gone up to normal levels and I can eat some food since being released from the hospital. I have not been able to progress until I was under Alyssa’s care. An award is the very least. This nurse has been AWESOME and AMAZING and had God not placed me in her care when He did, I believe I would be in a much worse off position than all the improvement I have made during her 12-hour shift. I am so beyond blessed and extremely grateful for her care. I am heading towards recovery full speed ahead directly because of this nurse and my new kidney’s middle name be her initials A.C. in dedication to her above and beyond care approach! I wouldn’t have made this progress or been able to come up with this game plan going forward had our paths not crossed. Beyond grateful and forever in this nurse’s debt. There are no words to express my thankfulness!
