Alyssa David is not an ordinary care manager. She is truly an integral part of 17E and is one of the reasons we function as smoothly as we do. Alyssa is always going above and beyond for patients to the point of personally purchasing items/medications that are necessary for patients if they can not afford them. This is in no way part of her role, but she cares so much and wants to do everything she possibly can for a patient to help them succeed and heal. She is always advocating for patients and making sure they have the safest possible discharge. She is always visible and active on the unit. She sometimes stays beyond her hours to make sure patients are set up for discharge. When she is not here her presence is missed and the unit feels her absence. She brings such positive energy to the unit and is one of the best care managers I have worked with. I feel so lucky that our patients get Alyssa as a care manager and that we get to work together daily.
