Having Alyssa be so caring, compassionate, detail-oriented, and selfless made a grand difference.
Alyssa took her time to explain things calmly and focused on my mom. Alyssa is amazing. She is very soft-spoken and respectful of my mom when she was admitted on McClure 5. My mom experienced seizures for the first time in her adult life and it was a scary time for both of us. Having a caring nurse like Alyssa gave us peace of mind.

She never rushed my mom when she took some time to answer her questions or when she slowly walked to the bathroom. My mom was a high-risk for falling so Alyssa was next to her every step of the way. She didn't mind being in the bathroom with my mom making sure she wouldn't fall. As a daughter and being so scared and worried throughout the night, having Alyssa be so caring, compassionate, detail-oriented, and selfless made a grand difference. Alyssa is very soft-spoken and made sure my mom was taken care of. In the middle of the night, my Mom sat up and needed to use the bathroom and set off her bed alarm. That moment scared me a lot while I was in my half-awake state, but I saw Alyssa come rushing into the room to assist my mom. She did not mind that my mom set off the alarm and gently reminded my mom to use the call button. Alyssa is committed to patient care, and any patient and their family member would be lucky to have her on their care team.

Not only did she care for my mom, but she went above and beyond to ask and make sure I was ok and she would assist if I needed anything. That surprised me because I felt better about being with my mom overnight while she was admitted. I hope Alyssa gets recognized for her patient care and a good heart. She is not only good at her job, but is a great person. Thank you, Alyssa!.
