Alyssa Dudley noticed that her patient was sitting in the waiting room for a long time following a recent visit. She started getting concerned and asked the patient if she was waiting for something. The patient told her that her transportation never arrived and that she wasn't sure how she would be able to get home. Alyssa offered to call the patient an Uber, but she declined. Alyssa then asked if she would be willing to take any other means of transportation. The patient agreed to take the bus but didn't have money for the fare. Alyssa reached into her wallet and asked around the office for donations to help the patient. She presented the patient with the bus fare money. The patient was very appreciative! Alyssa thought nothing of it to extend resources out to the patient.
